Developer

SightNest is developed by Morten Teinum. For privacy questions, contact morten@teinum.no.

Data not collected

SightNest does not collect personal data, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, health data, photos, audio, or other user data from the app.

The App Store product page is configured as "Data Not Collected."

Data stored locally on your device

SightNest stores app preferences locally so the catalog and quest experience can work without an account. This may include:

  • Favorite game IDs
  • Safety checklist progress
  • Clean routine progress
  • Selected filters, onboarding state, and app preferences

This local app data is not synced to a SightNest server, is not collected by Morten Teinum, and is not sold.

No tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs

SightNest does not use the AppTrackingTransparency framework, does not request tracking permission, and does not include Facebook, Meta, TelemetryDeck, or other third-party analytics or advertising attribution SDKs.

SightNest does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Purchases

SightNest Pro is available as a one-time lifetime purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. SightNest uses StoreKit to load the product, start purchases, check active entitlements, and restore purchases. Morten Teinum does not receive your payment card details.

Purchases are subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

No account, camera, microphone, contacts, health, or location

SightNest does not require an account. The app does not use the camera, microphone, contacts, HealthKit, or location services.

Safety and training content

SightNest provides training guidance only. It does not verify firearm condition, score targets, or replace club rules, range commands, local law, or a qualified coach.

Backups and deletion

Because app preferences and simple training progress are stored locally, deleting the app removes local app data according to normal iOS behavior. iOS device backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings.

Children's privacy

SightNest is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Shooting practice should only be performed under the supervision required by guardians, coaches, clubs, ranges, and local rules.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app's functionality or third-party services change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
